One dog in particular stood out when a group of dogs from the congested Habersham County Animal Shelter in Georgia came at The Little Guild in West Cornwall, Connecticut. When chatting to the manager of the Habersham County shelter, the shelter staff discovered that everyone in Georgia had also recognized Jodi’s uniqueness.
According to Kelsey Turick, a worker at The Little Guild, “Jodi meant a lot to the employees and volunteers from their shelter.” When volunteers learned that we were going to take Jodi in and find her a home, they sobbed.
Jodi, who had lived with her family for seven years, was turned over to the shelter in Georgia. She was nervous and unsure of what was going on when she arrived at The Little Guild, and the staff members who welcomed her could see she didn’t know where her family had gone.
When [she] first arrived, Turick recalled, “[she] was really afraid and all she wanted to do was go home.”
Jodi, a 7-year-old dog, is the finest ever. She like dogs, cats, and children. She enjoys relaxing on the couch, taking walks, and driving. She would make a wonderful addition to your family! In West Cornwall, Connecticut, we are. Visit littleguild.org for additional information or to submit an adoption application.
Since then, Jodi has adapted to her new environment considerably better and formed relationships with staff members and volunteers. She has grown to trust her new pals, which has enabled her amazing personality to emerge, making everyone fall even more in love with her.
She always wants to be around people and has a wonderful attitude, according to Turick. She enjoys playing fetch outside as well as cuddling up with you beneath a blanket. Although she is older, she still has a lot of energy and enjoys taking daily walks. She is a really remarkable young lady and is very important to us.
It’s incredible that Jodi hasn’t been adopted yet, especially considering how well she would fit in with practically any family. She adores children, cats, and other dogs and truly just wants to spend time with her loved ones whenever she can. She has received interest in adoption and a family is scheduled to meet her, so maybe her search for a home will be completed very soon.
All of Jodi’s friends, both in Georgia and Connecticut, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the appropriate family for her.
